• KPWDC Water Practice 2025 - Without Boats

  KPWDC members, please join us lakeside at Codorus State Park on the following dates to practice water skills.

  Open practice dates will be shared with the Colonial Newfoundland Club. The practice area location is below and to the right of  the Bandshell. These open practice dates do not require registration and will not include the use of our boats.

  The following dates are approved:

  May 31

  June 1, 3, 10, 11, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29

  July 1, 2, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 19, 20, 22, 23, 29, 30

  August  2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 26, 27

  September 2, 3,  7, 9, 10, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, 28, 30

  October 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, 19

  We are also planning to offer KPWDC members a practice with boats on July 12, August 9 and September 6. More details  to follow. Registration will be required for these practice dates, with a $15 fee, in order to cover the cost of towing the boats.

• KPWDC Water Trial 2025

  Please join us for our two day September 13 & 14, 2025 water trials. Online only entries will be accepted within each test level in the order received. Registration opens July 8, 2025. Entries are limited to 35 entries or 8 hours of judging time per judge (2 site trial) for the trial day. A separate registration form is required for each dog. You can register for Saturday, Sunday or both days. Upon registering, a $50 fee will be charged for each dog for each day of entry. Any other items purchased will be displayed as “Extra Costs” on the Review and Confirm page. Entries close at 5:00 PM EDT August 29, 2025, or when trial limits are reached. No refunds or cancellations will be made after the closing date. Please contact Robert Caruso; carusorj@msn.com with any trial registration questions.

• Annual Membership Meeting and Picnic

  Please join us for an opportunity to meet your Board of Directors for 2025/2026 and fellow members face to face together at the annual picnic and membership meeting. The theme for this year's get together will again be "The Fun of Fall and the Halloween Season!"  We are hoping to be joined by some of our Scarecrow friends!!  We will be having our Annual Picnic come rain or shine as our pavilion has plenty of space and cover.

  Our picnic is being catered by The Cheesesteak Trolley.  The custom menu will include chicken, steak, veggies, cheese and all the toppings, gluten free!  Our caterer for this event will provide soda and chips. Soft pretzels and water will be provided by the Club. 

  NOTE: This is a bring your dog event. We will have a Doggy Costume Parade with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best dressed so dress your PWD! 

     

  We also plan on offering the following activities:

  NEW THIS YEAR! Craft Table Rental:  

  You will be able to reserve a table to show off your craft skills, all for only $25.  You can reserve your table when registering for the Annual Picnic.

  
  

  It’s All About Tricks and CGC:

  We will review tricks and play with the addition of new tricks. Judy Murray will be available to test our PWDs from 10:00 am and 12:00 pm only. If you have a specific level you want to test your PWD at, you will need to bring the required equipment specific to that level.

  Judy will be testing for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) as well from 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.  If you plan on trying for the CGC title, please bring your AKC registration information with you.

  Be sure to select either one or both CGC and Tricks when registering for the picnic.  If you select Tricks, be sure to select what level.

  We will have a small Agility Course set  up for you to watch  our PWDs  in action, to play with the equipment and get some basic guidelines on agility.

  ??????????????????????There will be a Photo Booth where you can take pictures with your dog.

  Silent Auction:

  Always a favorite. Donated items will be auctioned off via silent auction.  If you have an item you can contribute to our Silent Auction, please include that information when you register/sign up for the picnic.

  Merchandise:

  Over  the past year we have updated our designs and purchased new colors and styles. We  are excited to offer KPWDC merchandise for sale during the picnic.
